Except for the new study 2 days ago that said asymptomatic people were NOT contagious.

Do you have a link to that study? I want to read it.

Asymptomatic people are not usually contagious for viruses, in my limited experience, but true for bacterial pathogens. However, PRE-symptomatic people may be contagious for viruses prior to their knowing they are sick.

I would love for another scientist or medical doctor to let me know that I am wrong in this regard, so that I can move on from my limited knowledge in what I recall from my prior micro studies.
