In the days after a man on their flight stopped breathing, fellow passengers wondered if he was infected with coronavirus – and whether they might be at risk. The airline said it didn’t know, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention wouldn’t say publicly.
An answer didn’t come until a local coroner released a report a week later confirming that covid-19 was a cause of the 69-year-old man’s death on Dec. 14, along with acute respiratory failure. By Wednesday, three different passengers said they still hadn’t gotten official word from any public health authorities.
“I figured somehow they would get in touch with everybody, send out probably a mass email – at least to everybody who booked the flight – and say, ‘If you were on this flight, you should go get tested,'” said Robert Reeves, 53, who was a few feet away from the man as medical workers performed CPR in the aisle for roughly 45 minutes
Some airports and airlines have been requiring preflight temperature checks or offering preflight testing as they try to adapt to the new public health landscape. Testing offered by airlines is generally meant to help passengers meet entry requirements at their destinations or avoid quarantine when they arrive.
Neither temperature checks nor testing, of course, is perfect. Travelers could be asymptomatic or too recently infected to run a temperature. And someone could be infected but still test negative.
“Individuals can be pre-symptomatic or entirely asymptomatic,” he said. “In both cases those individuals are still infectious, and the symptom screening tools are completely ineffective.”

Yet thousands of people can get crammed into Amazon fulfillment centers for 10 hours at a time in close quarters.
Restaurants are going to strictly carry-out/ delivery... easy to hire a few cooks instead of 10 to 20 wait staff

So? Everyone has been exposed to COVID. Everyone. I don’t see bodies in the streets.

This has been the way of the world we live in even before recorded history. To think that a sheet of paper and staying away from each other will change how this entire complex system operates is naive or worse.
If we apply the ATF logic, it’s the planes fault. Groud all of them and allow all passengers to the manufacturers.
Which reminds me, I need to contact my lawyer on my pending suit against Samsung, as their TV made me late to work and I lost my job. But hey, on the brighter side, you’ll continue to pay my unemployment benefits!

No one has the right to know what my medical status is. no one.
That’s the problem, people start feeling off, but don’t think it could be covid and go about their normal business rather than taking precautions not to be around other people...I know people who started to not feel well, but did not initially think they had coronavirus...3 or 4 people I know of got it from people who went to work even though they were not feeling well...Certainly, if people are not feeling well, or even start with a sore throat, they should hold off on travelling...I really do wonder if people can spread the virus before they start feeling sick.

That was one of the most graphic and telling selling points in this whole sordid tale. The videos coming out of China of the people collapsing dead in the streets and at work.
Crisis actors, selling fear to crystallize the danger in peoples minds.
If more and more people start snapping and rejecting the “mandates”, they might even have to resort to this type of propaganda again.
Now the “fact checkers” are already running around claiming this is bunk and the study didn’t say that
The problem is I have seasonal allergies so sore throats and sniffles are common for me this time of year.
What about post symptomatic? They missed that one.
It has already spread throughout the entire world due to people getting on planes. The media is just chock full of morons.
Does the oral paste combat the China virus?
I’m not at all surprised that the power hungry pols and bureaucrats have decided to use this pandemic as a way to obtain power and control beyond their wildest dreams.
I do not understand why so many people are so eager to comply.
