Our 4-year-old granddaughter seemed EXTREMELEY surprised to get some of the specific things she had asked for, for Christmas. When she opened gifts from us, she commented that they were EXACTLY what she wanted. Then when Santa came, kind of the same reaction, that she couldn’t believe he brought EXACTLY what she asked for.
Then I was thinking back on her year, and she had to stop going to church, Sunday school, preschool, swimming lessons, play dates, dance lessons, and so on, plus many family events were cancelled or reworked to be so NOT NORMAL. So, she probably is completely surprised that some things turned out the way she hoped.
They currently have a plan to go to Disney World at the end of next month. Here’s hoping they will be able to do so.
Breaks my heart.
Our grands’ pre-k has remained open, thankfully.
