So, birds didn’t starve when the climate was much much warmer?
For millions of years?
Or much much colder.
For millions of years?
And I also note the now required change from the old “global warming” to “climate change” so that ANYTHING that occurs can now be blamed to it.
Sorry, Guardian. When I was at grad school in the UK, you were left wing, but had an occasional believable article. Heh, you took care of those bothersome believable ones.
Please keep away from science.
Please.
Oh, my doctorate was from your best university - in REAL science, not your journalistic bull Obama.
Its getting colder and were in a ‘climate crisis’?????
I’m sure that the deforestation from the massive fires out west had nothing to do with limiting the food supply.
It truly was different this year, extremely, extremely hot but also dry so there was no live vegetation out there, no open catch water so it is completely reasonable that they died of starvation.
I had finches in my yard, I’ve never had them before and I’ve lived here 40 years. We are farmers and ranchers so we know the weather and remember from years on end and this year was extreme and different than any we have known in our lifetime. We irrigate our crops and we couldn’t keep enough water on the crops. Our county was a complete disaster for the yields on our principal crop.
If it is “Climate Change” there is nothing man can do about it and man didn’t cause it but it was a very, very different year.
I know the feeling. I don't hire any more, but the last few years of pre-screening candidates to determine whether PhDs had any technical knowledge was not inspiring.
I’m guessing the birds were poisoned...
