You don’t get what this battle is about. It’s not about the money. It’s about hoisting the beltway sewer rats on their own petards while they complete the steal that disenfranchise us all.. They are supposed to be representing those who elect them and not foreign countries. They are not.
I don’t need the money & will give it to someone needy or the Salvation Army.
My concern is for the millions of Americans who have lost their jobs or businesses as a direct result of government(s) policies & are desperate for some relief. If we are going to spend money, let it go to those most needy, not to the Smithsonian, Pakistan, the rich & influential.
As for welfare, I want the Feds completely out of the health, welfare, & education business. They have royally fouled up all three.
The only solution to keeping this country together is the smallest Federal government possible - 1% of its current size & scope; & the implementation of term limits for both Congress & the Federal bureaucracy. That’s a good start anyway.
Sadly, I have little hope of either happening. This negligence will likely end in civil war or endless tyranny.

What I don’t understand is that they easily approve giving a dependent who is NOT a citizen funds but not someone who is a legal citizen and claimed by a son/daughter whom they are taking care of who is not yet old enough to collect SS.
