This guy might be in a blue/purple district. if he’s the best we can do then it’s a sticks and stones argument. Let Trump deal with him. same with Sasse/Mittens.

Solid red and getting redder. Kinzinger is ripe for a primary challenge. The problem, as usual, is job security. It’s hard to get anyone but lifelong government employees like Kinzinger or the independently wealthy to run for high Federal office. For most, it derails you from your career track and requires a move to an expensive locale (DC) far from your hometown.

Looking at the way Kinzinger’s district is drawn, it appears that the Democrats deliberately put as many Republicans into it as possible so that narrower majorities could be attained for more Democrat seats around it.
