I disagree that the average life expectancy was lower, that’s all. We can disagree about that. That's not something that is subject to opinion. It is factual, at least for countries that have records. There is no point in time in this country, or any country, when there was an equal life expectancy to today's. That is true, even if you look at it by age (average life expectancy of a 40 year old woman, for example. Today, it's like another 45 years. In 1850, it was probably 25. The average is much higher for newborns now than then because of better infant care, and for 3 year olds because of vaccines and better health care, and for 10 year olds, and so on. But even for older people, even those who made it to 50, 60 or 70, life expectancy is far higher now than any time in the past. Some places were surprisingly good in the past, and one was New England in colonial days. But still not like ours. If you care that much about this slide, go research the stats and you can let us know what you come up with. Anecdotal evidence not sufficient.

ThanQ for this.
Infections as a percent of the US population is about .06 or 6%.
Deaths as a percentage of infections is about .01 or 1%
Deaths as a percentage of the US population is 0.0010512964983838 or 0.10512964983% (a tenth of a percent)
If we could have lockdown Fauci we’d be golden.

what has always troubled me is, if they ran the same batches of ballots for biden thru the counter multiple times,(there is video of that supposedly being done) a ballot recount should have shown a huge difference between actual ballots vs the count.
Part of the recount problem in MI in 2016 was, the number of ballots didn’t match the certified count number on the box. They stopped the recount.
https://editions.lib.umn.edu/electionacademy/2016/12/07/michigan-mismatch-reconciliation-issues-block-recount/
same thing happened this year in the MI primary and the General election.
Why was any recount allowed to proceed?
or am I looking at this too simply?

Jan 3 - (new congress) falls this Sunday. Neither house has indicated it wants to move the date - which is strange as they really don’t like weekend sessions - especially holiday weekend sessions.

Kicker: It’s taken from Marine 1. What’s Marine 1 doing there?Scavino used the hashtag #throwback. He was not there yesterday and the President was at Mar-a-lago.

Hope you recuperated from the baseboards.

Me too. I clicked a link on Drudge for a Pat Buchanan article and it took me to a thread about the article. Lurked for a year or more but didn't join because I was so intimidated by the quality of the posters at that time. FR had some real intellectual fire power back then.
It still does...most of it's on these threads.

The baseboards are a very good Zen project to turn my mind to something else. I’d have been done twice just replacing them, but noooo Mamma wants them RESTORED. She knows what’s best for me. Intuition and all.
