LOL At the last good July 4th on the Mall DC, some songs were played which made the lyrics hilarious.
76 Trombones was “76 tropical storm bones”.
And Johnny B. Goode was “Johnny Birthday Goode”.
LOL! There’s a thread about voice errors in text mails that are pretty funny......
It’s ridiculous on every television network.
I can understand errors on a live show, but pre-recorded shows are just as bad.
Like the instructions on many Chinese made goods, something gets lost in the translation. I remember one 4th of July me and my friends setting off fireworks. The warning labels on the bottle rockets we had said “light fuse and retire!” :-)
Since I’m hearing impaired I do need the captions to help me try to understand what’s being said
It also keeps Mr Kitty amused when I read what the captions are saying. I find the bad captions to be the best part of many broadcasts

I do not like CC and have it turned off on my TV. However CC appears on newsmax anyway. Anyone know how to turn it off? I’m accessing it on Pluto TV.

I dunno. When they showed Plugs the Pedo, they did correctly identify him as Mike Hunt.
[I know that most of you have stopped watching FoxNews but I still depend on the news they give. I refuse to watch CNN, NBC, et al. for the junk they put out. NewsMax is not on my cable list.]
Back when I use to watch Fox, it was often in the gym with close captions.
Fox’s system was awful. Slow, inaccurate and frequently stalled.
