When Life Hung in the Balance

Posted on 12/27/2020 6:20:05 AM PST by Mrs. Warrior

In the garden of Gethsemane, before the trial of Jesus, the Son asked His Father if there was any other way to save mankind. The agony of having to bear the sins of the world, the love Jesus had was greater than the weight.

On the cross when all the evil was breaking apart of His life, He cried out, “Father forgive them, they know not what they do”. Jesus knew, and could not let their sin into his soul, all of the salvation for man weighed in the balance of Him not letting the darkness enter His light of Him letting love take the sin into forgiveness and taking it away.

This Christmas morning on our farm we read the Christmas account in the Gospel of Luke. While we had planned gifts to bless and had the scent of ham, turkey and cinnamon buns baking; outside on a street in Nashville, hatred caused a bomb to go off. Human remains were found,.

When we come to the alter where we lay our burdens down at his alter, Jesus does not falter. God dwells in holiness, when the cross carrying sin was plunged into the ground, the earth began to quake. The soldiers trembled and declared, “surely this was the Son of God”.

When we do not keep in our memory the evil done, We can remember the love that was shown, God's love takes us to pastures serene, peace knowing that love overcame hate, light outshone the darkness, and hope ever burns bright.

Homes across America know how to celebrate the meaning of Christmas. We received a big television in high definition and when we saw in magnified glory the story of birds, It was God the artist who painted the sky, from the color palette in His minds eye, made each feather glow, gave the bird wings to fly.
