LOL !!! That just reminded Me of one of My work E-Mail Faux Paw š¾.
I along with the entire City of xxxxxxxx received a PC E-Mail regarding mudslimes.
I made a very Non-PC comment and thought that I Replied only to the Members of My Department.
I found out the next shift I worked when it started with My Supervisor calling Me into His office to inform Me that I had in fact sent My very Non-PC comment via āREPLY ALLā to the ENTIRE CITY Including the Mayor and H(ighly) R(idicules) Department !
Now My Supervisor was pretty cool with everything but told Me that the āpowers that beā were VERY UNHAPPY WITH ME and that they would be CLOSELY MONITORING ALL of My E-Mails sent via City Computers including BOTH Internal and My External Personal E-Mails.
I had already pissed off the H(ighly) R(idicules) Department not long before the E-Mail Faux Pawš¾ I was at a āTraining Sessionā on how to form habits. They told Us (class) that it takes 21 days to form a Habit. Well Our Department had a Schedule different from All others. 12 hours on/off, work 2 shifts On/3 Off then 3 On/2 Off and every Month switching from Days to Night and then back to Nights and Days. So by the H(ighly) R(idicules) Department teachings thereās no way that we could āform a habitā.
Well Me being Me I raised My hand to ask the question of what are We supposed to do with the Shifts We Work ?
They got pissed and called My Supervisor saying that I was āDisruptiveāā and being a āSmart Assā !!!
I told Him that I had asked a legitimate question and they could say what ever they wanted to because they were gonna anyway!!!
I donāt miss the job but do miss most of My excoworkers.
Heh, I read your post and could see why they regarded you as a troublemaker...people who wield power HATE it when people question them...don’t you know you are supposed to shut up and do what you are told?
Well, email is fraught with peril, no doubt. I work in an environment where personal information is critically guarded with high penalties from regulatory agencies for failing to do so, and one of the things that we require is that people lock workstations when they leave them unattended.
When I see one not locked, I feel the urge to sit down at it and send an email to the entire organization from that unlocked person’s name...:)
Of course, I would never do that, but I find the urge amusing!
