That plan was simple. Send Fang to the US to find a young man with the desire to be in politics, court him, convince him he can make it and then rig the election so he wins an important office.
Not complex. Not unimaginable.
Simple power politics. It has been played for thousands of years.

The difference is the amount of Chinese money, the access our elite has willingly given them, and the ability to transmit digital data easily around the world.
Another important difference: our elite no longer have allegiance to the USA.
