LOL
I saw that and LMAO.
I have to go to insane lengths to keep my snakes’ temps and humidity *just so* or they’ll get sick and die.
Most of the pythons they catch in FL are already sick with upper respiratory infections because it’s really not warm enough there, for them, especially with the cold nights in the last few years.
They’re not the hardy, super-power, world conquering reptiles some crazy people imagine.
Fanciers keep Ball Pythons [aka Pet Rocks] in climate controlled enclosures, crafted to carefully mimic their native habitat, which is basically an abandoned animal burrow in a very hot country.
:D
That is one disturbing fish.
My thought too. I wish pet stores would stop selling live animals. Stick with food, beds, equipment, collars, and grooming. Maybe tropical fish, but lizards and snakes get a raw deal.
And of course, a python is dangerous. But still, it deserves to live in its natural habitat, wherever that is....Burma?
I hate when my albino python comes slithering home after having been stolen with a couple of body shaped lumps in it’s stomach.
Like I said, there were a couple of tough rednecks who didn’t want to get their scrotums anywhere within flipper reach of that fish!
I can’t say that I fault them for that!
*eeek*
Ball Pythons are native to Africa.
They are small, slow, pudgy, graceless ambush predators that basically live underground in abandoned animal warrens or other convenient holes, *hoping* that something to eat will eventually happen to walk by.
It’s not for nothing they’re called “Pet Rocks”.
Their “defense mechanism” is to ball up around their own head, in hopes that somehow, that will render them inedible to other animals.
[hence, their common name, Ball Python, rather than the proper name Royal Python]
They are snakes that barely even know how to snake.
Kind of looks like “Jaws” from the Bond movie...
I mean, they could have just waited for their stimulus checks and bought two.
Thanks for info and picture of that precious little snake.
