Buchanan's currency is his writing. His only value to a Chinese paymaster is to write what they want. They don't want what he writes. I have read several of his books, and they are all consistent. He was writing this way since before Trump called himself pro-choice and a Democrat. Buchanan has NEVER been a friend of the Establishment, and told Nixon to fight for his presidency. Both have contempt

I am not sure what litmus test he has failed regarding Buchanan. Frankly, Trump's 2016 platform reads a lot like Buchanan's 1992 platform, minus the references to the Democrats being political cross-dressers.
