Progressivism seeks to replace the U.S.'s founding principles with a new set of doctrines.
Undergirding the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution is a set of philosophical principles that are under assault by Progressives. These founding principles, derived mostly from the Federalist Papers, provide the lens through which we read and understand the Constitution. Without this lens, the meaning of the Constitution and American law becomes putty in the hands of every special interest group.
Progressivism seeks to replace the founding principles with a new set of doctrines based on the tenets of social justice — a system which elevate the rights of "protected classes" (non-whites, LGBTQ, women, etc.) by subordinating the rest of society. This so-called "just society" is not the kinder, gentler America that Progressives promise, but a dystopia where the rights of the many are trampled, dissenters are punished, and government has nearly unlimited power and scope. I looked up the meaning of doctrine, sure enough it is a nice way or saying one group of people inflicting their political beliefs through rules that everyone shall abide by.
Very popular term used throughout history to describe the efforts by elites to rule the masses.

My take is that our Founding principles are what built the greatest most stable and free society in current human history.

We had John Dewey’s early 1900’s Progressive (Marxist) anti-home schooling influence, followed by The Frankfurt School’s mid-1900’s social Marxist plan for children, then Hollywood’s 1950’s communist influences, then NEA’s No God push in our schools.
Then, the 1960’s CPUSA push of college youts for war protests, drug use and wanton fornication, then the 1980’s sitcoms ridiculing parents, then the 1990’s queer push, then the 2000’s self-esteem facade.
Now, MSM, SJW groups and social media are pushing "social justice" and stirring them to riot and destroy -- the anarchy needed before stepping in as heros to "save America".

The use of power for good is far better the use of such power for evil, the left and their minions are fully exposed now, they used their power, it is now our turn to use it for good.
