A coronavirus relief bill that includes a version of the Save Our Stages Act—an act that theatre and live performance industry members have championed as a partial remedy during the extended shutdown—is expected to pass in congress December 21 after months of halted negotiations and political stalemates.

Never put your own money in the show.
Only about 25% of Broadway shows ever turn a profit.
I recall checking one year - about 1600 candidates filed with the FEC for US House - many more actual candidates - but they didn’t raise enough money to file.
Only 435 successful, and very few self-funded.
How much money should be allocated to venues that Gov Cuomo & Mayor DeBlasio have insisted on keeping shut down???
This bill is pure pork. Just like the shoulder roast in the oven right now.
