BEREA, Ohio (WOIO) - A 14-year-old boy is under arrest for allegedly trying to kill his 64-year-old grandpa and his grandpa’s girlfriend, said police.
Berea Police Lt. Tom Walker said the grandpa went to the police station on Dec. 9 and told officers his grandson had poisoned his coffee creamer.

The family situation sounds troublesome. A teenager. He doesn’t live with his parents (or so it seems). Lives with a grandfather. Gramps has a shack job. Lockdowns are inducing cabin fever.
What could go wrong?
I agree. Teenaged boy, grandpa, and “grandpa’s girlfriend.” Not much chance of its being a happy situation.
We want to first accuse the adults of child abuse before we look at the child. The only reason the kid could have for offing his grandparents would be that he was being abuse. Definitely someone who is abusing a child wants to call the cops when the kid is poisoning him because that is the best way to make sure nobody finds out about the abuse. That poor kid being kept at home by COVID making it all too easy for the abusive grandparents to abuse him. No wonder he searched the internet for instructions on how to poison someone rather than how to stop the abuse. They should have arrested the grandparents and put the kid in a nice foster home. No justice!

Man, they’re becoming obvious sociopaths at younger and younger ages now, aren’t they?

IU agree with you, young boys are so much more vulnerable and less intellectually/socially mature than are girls at that age. This child was probably under far too much stress than he should have been under, at that moment, and acted impulsively which is normal for boys of that age. These days, young adolescents do not have the normal outlets a child should have and it is small wonder he fell apart. He needs help, not more punishment — he has probably gotten far too much punishment from grandpa and the girlfriend (what is she even doing there anyway?)
In my book, grandpa, girl friend, mother and father wherever they may be are the criminals and the ones who should be in jail for destroying this young life.

Used to work with really bad killers or not-quite-killer-graduate teens for a few years. The boys were pretty bad but the women made serious plans and many killed. The boys would end up in adult prisons. The women would get a chance and end up in some horrendous crime/murder.
Sugar and spice versus snails, snakes and puppy-dog tails?
The kid has a future in politics.
