Rush is breaking my heart
Big Truck | 12.23.20 | Big Truck

Rush's sign off was chilling. He could barely get out his sentiments. That final "Thank you" was hard to listen to.

All I can say is, "You're welcome, Rush."

I’m thinking that it was mostly due to the last caller - who obviously touched him, deeply. I suspect he’ll be back, but it sure felt very somber. I was driving at that time and was afraid that I’d need to pull over, as my eyes blurred up.

I am torn, Rush is more like America's Uncle than its Anchorman, and I want to hear him every weekday from 11 to 2 Central.

But I also feel somewhat selfish since he needs to spend as much quality time as he can with his wife and family.

And its not officially Christmas until Rush signs off with Mannheim Steamroller ending his shows for the year.

The Psalm says “A man is appointed to live for 70 years, or 80 should he be strong.” I hope he is granted the strength to celebrate his 70th birthday next January 12, and many many more. It would also be wonderful if along with all of us he were able to see the fruits of his labors, and watch Donald J Trump re-inaugurated as President…

I heard parts of the show today but not the end.

I just viewed the ditto cam video of the end of the show at RushLimbaugh.com.

That was very powerful and so sad, with Silent Night in the background.

Rush has been a friend since 1994.

He is like my brother.

I will mourn him as such when The Lord calls him home.

I wish I could tell Rush that.

I guess I’ll send him an Email.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful for Rush to have a place right near the place that Trump will be sworn in. Rush and his wife, right there with the Trump family.
Let it be so.

It was a goodbye. I have never heard him that emotional on the radio

I listened to him yesterday pleading with what seemed like his last breaths to save the republic.

I cried for him.

I told my wife a world without Rush is far worse. He has made it a little more bearable knowing someone with a voice and at least somewhat of a bully pulpit is aligned with and for us. He has been our only ally so many times.

A great man. Not just an entertainer. Such are few and seldom.

That was sad to watch. I heard it earlier during the show, but to watch it is different. I do believe he thinks it is his last show.

I hope to hear him in January.

Praying for you Rush.

I too first heard him on a car radio while on a business trip in Sacramento. Still remember thinking “My God, a voice of Reason!” That he became a national figure is a Blessing upon us all. Thank YOU, Rush.

There is no one like Rush. He is a national treasure.

Actually, the first time I heard the name, Rush Limbaugh, was in 1982, and it wasn’t our Rush.

We were new in the area and I was with my sons at a local bakery thrift store on one of the main drags in Cape Girardeau. We heard a tremendous crash and went outside and saw a brown cadillac plowed into the back of another car. There was hardly any traffic on the 4 lane road, but it was a blazing bright summer day. So we surmised that the glare might have blinded the driver of the cadillac.

All the occupants of the cars were out and it appeared that no one was hurt. The driver of the caddy was an older man, who the counter ladies in the bakery said was Rush Limbaugh. The other lady said “which one?” and the first lady said, “the old man”. It was Rush’s grandfather who practiced law there until he was well over 100 years old.

I sure hope Rush has inherited his grandfather’s longevity.

I agree. He sounded profoundly sad. He kept thanking his audience with a look back at his career.
He said the reason he loves Mannheim Steamroller is memories of his dad. Said he was on a flight to his next speaking engagement. The moon was very bright & in the clear night sky. It was near Christmas time when his dad died & the memories flooded back on the flight. Played MS on headphones.
Teared me up.
He also said at the very end “I have to go before I cry” & signed off.
I don’t think he has much longer & he knows it. Hopefully there’s a miracle!
But today may well have been his last show.

I had colon cancer where they check for it by putting a camera on a cable up the butt.

First, it is not a big deal at all.

It is able to spot things that need to be looked at and tell you how often you need to be tested. They told me, nothing of danger. See us in 10 years. Very reassuring.

Mrs. RWA had a few things that should be looked at in 5 years. It was interesting to see the differences between mine and hers. The poop test can't do that.

The unpleasant part is the ‘prep’. You drink an unpleasant liquid, it not only tastes somewhat unpleasant, but it has a slime factor about it as well. You spend a lot of quality time on the throne of ease.

The problem with the ‘smart pill’ that takes pictures is the prep is exactly the same and the downside is if it finds polyps you have to go through the prep again when they go in with the scope. When they go in with the scope they remove any polyps they find.

The actual ‘procedure’ is the easiest thing you’ll ever do. You are lying there on the table and the next thing you know you’re waking up in the recovery area.

First, it is not a big deal at all.
I had both full narcosis (sleep) and awake.
Awake was a big deal to me and I needed a nurse to rub my stomach area due to the intense discomfort, I would say pain. While I had the doctor assure me it was almost done.
I am not recommending against though.
