Here is an irony: Trayvon Martin did something similar when he was 9. He dragged his father from a burning apartment.

This little boy is a hero, but it would be wise to consider that such heroism needs to be cultivated and nurtured throughout youth. Otherwise, a good kid can become a menace as a teenager or young adult.

Yes, for sure!
But I wonder how the fire started. Was it a faulty or knocked over space heater, candle, overloaded electrical outlet? The parents are both former firefighters and so would be well aware of the recommended safety precautions involved with any of these things.
