A $10,000 reward is being offered after a 7-year-old was rushed to a hospital Monday night after being shot while riding in a relative’s vehicle near Phipps Plaza in Buckhead.
The victim’s aunt drove straight to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, where the child was immediately sent into surgery and Atlanta police were called about 9 p.m. The child was shot in the back of the head, police said Tuesday during a news conference.
According to police, the aunt told responding officers she remembered hearing several gunshots as she drove past the luxury shopping center on Peachtree Road. Police confirmed that a group of men were fighting in the parking lot of the Saks Fifth Avenue store.

Phipps and Lenox were the premier malls in ATL.
Now, nothing but hood rats.
I was talking to someone who had retired to a small town.
They said they miss some things about the city they used to live in, but also mentioned how their small town has very few undesirable type people there.
If we are see ghetto violence seeping into upscale suburban areas of a city, it’s also predictable that people would vote with their feet, if these trends continue.
They had a giant street fight a few nights ago...What will it take to wake people up?

Phipps and Lenox used to be a really nice, upscale malls when we used to live in Atlanta 20 years ago. Sad to see this happening.
Critical condition. Shot in the back of the head. Bad news for anyone, but for a seven-year-old? I’ll be praying our merciful Lord takes him or her into his arms and loves him for all eternity.
It’s a sad state our country is in when shootings are now common place.
Apparently a life is now only worth the price of a bullet.

Random bullets... in Buckhead.
That’s one of the nicest parts of Atlanta.
Visiting Lennox Square was a big deal for me as a kid; as I got older one of my favorite hobby shops moved there, Sword of the Phoenix.
But, like so many other things I loved, it is gone.
Violent crime has actually declined in the US.

Is this theory based on not counting widespread BLM/Antifa riots, mass arson, looting/destruction, and seven year-olds shot in the back of the head due to gun battles outside Saks Fifth Avenue?
A bullet from a shooting at the Apple store at Lenox Mall a few weeks ago made it all the way across the parking lot to a bus stop shelter and shattered the glass. Good thing no one was sitting in the shelter, and good thing the bullet didn’t hit anyone on the sidewalk or in a car driving on Peachtree Road. The little boy yesterday was not so fortunate.
