Cheating is a battle tactic. We did it om D-Day. It is also an election tactic acceptable to Democrats, but only if they do it.
... enrolled in a six-month rehabilitation program focused on ethics
Same cure used by the FBI. Training. Works, or else they wouldn't do it, right?
When you continue to lower the standards for those who get in, this is what you get. While the Academies have had cheating scandals in the part, it appears to be more commonplace thanks to the lower standards. Since the largest category of nominations comes from congressional nominations, and you consider the total lack of ethical standards and character of most of those in Congress you understand why.
The service academies are a relic of a more honorable era of American culture and military excellence.
The new Army and West Point: Freshmen will be Freshmen, this cheating isn’t too bad. Disgusting.
Wasn’t there a cheating scandal in the mid-70s? 76, 77 iirc ? What’s the precedent.
Cheating on school exams is worth national news, but an ENTIRE NATIONAL ELECTION being cheated and switched - “meh... fake news...”
Duty, Honor, Country
The Cadet Honor Code states that a cadet will not lie, cheat or steal, nor tolerate those who do. A cadet who violates the Cadet Honor Code shall be separated from the United States Military Academy.
Here is an excellent in depth look at the 1976 cheating scandal.......
Throw them out. It will be a lesson for incoming students.
If Joe Biden can get installed as POTUS, all these Cadets should get A’s in calc
I thought cheating brought instant expulsion. Defining deviancy down.
Surprise! They’ve got good examples of how to cheat.....people in high political places are the best examples!!
When my Dad was at the Naval Academy, one of his classmates got married. This was against the rules. So,the classmate kept it a secret. However, he had a jealous rival who knew the rule and the jealous rival never said anything for 4 years. Just prior to graduation, the jealous rival ratted my Dad’s classmate out. The classmate was dismissed from the Academy.
Back then, if you “bilged” out of the Academy, you had to serve six years as enlisted. Sometime after graduation, my Dad ran into his old classmate on duty. The old classmate had to salute my Dad. It was humiliating for his old classmate. My Dad never forgot that.
I wonder whatever happened to that West Point cadet who graduated a couple of years ago and was photographed shilling for communism at his graduation? If he did keep his commission after that stunt, I imagine others in his unit took care of his butt.
What passes for journalism in America these days . . .
I wonder what the criteria was for who was eligible for 'rehabilitation and who wasn't... Hope it wasn't based on race...

All of the cheaters should be dismissed. Lots of good people would like a free college education who actually deserve the honor.
