In replacement I would list these as some of my favorites:

David Lean 1946 Great Expectations. The definitive adaptation of the Dickens novel.

2012 Great Expectations: This version ramps up the emotional intensity. The cinematography, settings and costumes pure eye candy.

Mulligan Far from the Madding Crowd. The movie is just gorgeous.

Thompson/Hopkins: Howard's End

Never watched Downton Abbey?! Oh, my...

My wife and I are huge fans, and — as a dude — I never thought I’d enjoy it. This time of year we always watch the Christmas episodes, and about every other year we watch the whole series.

We’re also big fans of Foyle’s War — both of us really enjoy WWII history, and it’s a great WWII mystery series.
