A few good moments at best.
Spinning off to a version of Romana or the doctor’s daughter would have been better.

Not everyone is going to make the link to that novel of 1984.I don't think it refers to the Orwell novel. I think it just means that the movie is set in 1984. The first one was set in WWI, but since Wonder Woman is either immortal or has a really long life span, she is now in the year 1984. I guess the 3rd one will be Wonder Woman: The Fall of Trump and will be set in 2020.

People all around the world are making movies.
And apparently that actor would seem to be in the WW movie as a quota job because attention is drawn to the role but in general it exposes a lie about America. the little actor DID get work.

A rule of thumb is that if the box office gross for the first two weeks does not exceed the production cost, then the movie will not make a profit.
