That is true, in some areas where electric generators are used daily to run appliances, they would not even notice a difference. Fuel is not pumped from under ground like a gas station, it is delivered in fuel bladders and hand pumped.
I have - yet another - dumb question.
If there was some kind of advance warning - would it do any good to disconnect the car battery?
