It’s disturbing south bashing continues here on this forum as our country as we knew it fades over the horizon with nary a burp of resistance

There’s plenty to actually bash the south (and the north and Lincoln) for. The fact is that we were (and are) ALL still Americans in that war.
They were no more traitors or separatists then the north were traitors or separatists for pushing them over the precipice.
Tearing down the statues and burning history - that’s ignorant, destruction of history and understanding and wanting to believe in a fairy-tale that’s only believed THIS year is nothing more than revisionist history and scarily Orwellian and not befitting of a free thinking people.
But then that way lies communism and totalitarian rule which it appears our trolls here support.
