Every time Rush declines to broadcast (I am certain after weighing his great desire against his present physical needs and his future stamina estimates) there is a wave of concerning (complaining?) comments.
And every time I read one of these posts, I DREAD to think Rush or Bo Snerdley or any on his crew are reading this FR thread. Although well-meaning and expressing prayerful concerns, imo, these comments are often invasive, selfish, and disrespectful.
If you were Rush, would you like to read speculative, “knowing” assertions about your present condition or your long-term prognosis?
Would it not be better for Rush’ and his well-being to keep our thoughts of disappointment, concern, speculative assessments and prognostication to ourselves and honor Rush’ day-to-day decisions, honor Rush’ privacy, and honor and encourage Rush’ choice of subs [Do we really need to remind Rush’ subs that they are not Rush? Do we need to remind Rush?]?
Rush has the availability of the best medical care possible and an intelligent, loving and supportive family.
Rush is a fighter! Give him the respect he is due and know he is in command of his odds, his therapy and needs, his helm at the EIB... and his best judgment re his needful ever-changing game plan.
I know Freepers on this thread and Rush’ EIB family prays for Rush and has his best interests at heart.
Well there’s unlimited medical expertise on FR.
The problem is half of it is in opposition to the other half LOL.
I think the love on these threads is just fine.
If Rush checks them, he probably appreciates them.
Well said.
Thanks for posting what I wanted to say.
