Pence will READ (not “count) the votes as they are submitted; he will (as statute law and the Constitution provide) ALLOW objections; and those objections will be taken up by each chamber. And regardless of the objection, BOTH chambers will come back with the same result. If you think the US Senate (remember, Purdue and Loeffler will NOT be there because even if they “win” on election night, we’re gonna see the same counting). So we will be 49-49 at best, and no, Pence (who is presiding over the JOINT session) does not break a tie in the Senate caucus, which goes to the runner (i.e., the officially submitted certified slate). I know this is hard to hear. I know you want to think there is a magic bullet. This is reality.
He won’t read decertified electors. In which case no one gets 270 and state leg. Delegations vote. Majority wins. Not 270.
The reality is that this election was so filled with fraud that the “results” are bogus.
It cannot be allowed to be stolen; procedures, precedent, or any other legal details notwithstanding.
I expect more from you. Many others do, too.
You’re describing process. Essential legal and political structure. You speak of the process as though it still has meaning and as though it must be preserved.
But you’re missing more than half the picture.
Process is like icing on the cake. The cake itself was the election. But look what happened! The dough has fallen, and there are worms crawling throughout.
What happens to the icing when you spread it onto a rotten cake?
