Where did the idea that Pence could disqualify electors today come from? I’ve never heard of any procedure that would give him the opportunity to da anything like that except possibly on 1-6-21.

than nine days after the meeting of the electors):
The President of the Senate and the Archivist should
have the electoral votes in hand by December 23, 2020.
If votes are lost or delayed, the Archivist may take extraordinary measures to retrieve duplicate originals.
