Your statements - which I will stipulate is true - only support the Mr. Root's premise that concerns over Covid are overblown and/or figures are inflated.
The point is: The public perception is being manipulated to make Covid look like the worst scourge to strike Mankind since the Black Plague. Illnesses / deaths caused by the flu or other, similar infectious diseases are being attributed to Covid, through deliberately misleading reporting (by suppressing comorbidities; hyping Covid; downplaying everything else).

You would be wrong. We have not seen a lot of flu yet abs we do test for it. It may either be a mild season or it may be too early. Yes there is a lot of hysteria out there but yes covid is real and filling our hospitals and ICUs. other can be true.
