A friend was on the vent for Covid for about a week. He was not getting better but he was able to signal he wanted the vent out. They obliged. Within a day or so he was back into a regular hospital room eating and walking around. Home within a day after that.

A friend of mine and her spouse got covid.
Were in bed for 4-5 days with fever and cough.
Started feeling better.
Spouse continued to rapidly improve.

Friend’s condition degraded to the point of hospitalization (could not breathe). She heard the doctor’s discussing ventilator. She cried and told them NOT to put her on a vent. They put her on a high flow nasal cannula (bigger tubes inside the nose) and she was in ICU for 12 days. She had major nausea and would not eat.

*WARNING - GROSS*
I’m starting to think the nausea is the body’s way of trying to expel the crud from the lungs. I have another friend who had it and battled the nausea for a day, trying hard NOT to vomit. She finally gave into it and said “Ok, I’m gonna let loose.” She said she could FEEL this vile stuff come out of her lungs. (mixture of thick mucous and something similar to pus). Sorry for the DISGUSTING DESCRIPTION.
