Mary, the mother of Jesus, was told by the angel that a sword would pierce her heart. At the cross when Jesus carried the sins of the world His heavenly Father turned His back on His son because Jesus had taken upon Himself the sin of the entire world. That is why Jesus cried out in heartbreak, “My God, my God why have you forsaken me?”
Mary's heart was broken at her Son's suffering. Upon the cross, Jesus told his disciple John to take Mary into his home. Jesus told us that He came to heal the brokenhearted. I imagine that there was a time after His resurrection that Jesus healed the heart of the one who carried Him into the world of mankind; it was time for Him to carry her. How tender a picture of mother and son.
When our youngest daughter's husband left her and her daughters for another woman, she called us and asked if they could come to live with us. When we brought them to our home my daughter started to cry. She wept in my arms. “Mom, it hurt's”. My heart was broken for her. I told her we are going to love you all so much.
When your hopes for love get wounded scar tissue can stop the bleeding for a moment but when you feel it is not safe to trust some one again with your love those scars can become prison bars.
Ask the One who made the stars, “You gave me your broken heart, Your love flowed out of the wounds, My heart can trust a scarred heart, it breaks my self preservation, and opens me to all the love of heaven”.
From our daughter's heartache came heart health, our family had so much joy in loving our girls.
As an abused little girl, I had never known what it meant to have the wonder of playing, my grand daughters when they laugh, give me that gift.
When Jesus returned to heaven His father welcomed Him back, the Father and Son now had the children of the world, to those who brought their broken and sinful hearts to the cross of Jesus Christ, where forgiveness and finding a Father God. Jesus now sits at the right hand of the throne of God. Any time one of his children cries, He had their names engraved on His arms, he touches his arms to His wounded heart, when our hearts touch His, the shared blood, warms us with life.
Thank you for your post. A lot of us and people around us are suffering right now and you gave a wonderful reminder of where true love begins- in our families and in the love of our Saviour.
Beautiful!!!
Jesus brings life and hope!
May God comfort each of you and may each glorify Him.
Lovely, Mrs. Warrior.
Merry Christmas to you and your whole family!
