Or, did the CIA have British and Australian intel do their dirty work?

That's the "one weird trick" these out of control spy agencies use to skirt the law against spying on their own citizens. The CIA spies on Brits or Australians that those governments which to spy on and conversely those countries spy agencies return the favor for the U.S.

I don't think that they are skirting the law with that little "trick". I think that they are still breaking the law.
