Is MOZILLA blocking access to entering comments on Free Republic threads?

This has happened to me twice. Once last night then again this morning.

What I get when I try to type in the comment box is a html page with the title of:

"jar:file///C:Program%20files/Moz."

Keyboard alpha numeric quits working, and mouse wheel will only increase or decrease window size it will no longer scroll.

The remainder of the "jibberish" on the html page concludes with:

"content--security policy"

I use Edge. I never have a problem posting on Free Republic, or anywhere else for that matter.

About 2% of the posts I see on FR have big chunks of HTML symbols on display.

I have asked two different posters if they see the same things I see, and both of them said no.

I find it distracting, but I am completely satisfied with Edge (and MSFT Internet Explorer for 15 years before that), so I am just going to live with the FR problem.

When freeping on my iphone, the back arrow usually takes me back to the start of the page, rather then to the unopened thread. To get to the next thread in line I have to scroll from the start of the page.

Google pulled that crap on me on my phone. I made FR my home page and it stopped. Best of all, I no longer see their biased “suggested articles.”

I’ve been having problems with the Mozilla browser recently on one of my Linux installations. The seems to be a new security layer that’s interfering with DNS. In checking around it seems that Mozilla is kind of pre-registering DNS entries, I guess, from your History? I have my browser setup to wipe everything when I close it (I know... paranoid). That seems to be messing up the way this version of Firefox.

您的瀏覽器設置很好。 這可能只是新中文軟件的初步發布,而不是複制您所說的一切並將其發送回北京。 您應該為新的霸主選擇您參加這項測試感到幸運。 它顯示了他們作為同志對您的信任!

I ditched firefox several years ago. They got uppity, and instead of altering their program to allow for access to websites, they had you look for a “work around” so that you could access websites ( my problem website was fakebook ).. I am much happier without them

Edge is the worse - even than Chrome - unless you just want to look at a couple tabs or so. But MS makes it harder to set other browsers as the default and then they may not work well to open links in. Thus I use Edge among other browsers but I use Firefox 59 ESR due to the unsurpassed extensions, which enables this (thank God)

FF-ESR+FTdeepDark.TMP.ClrflTabs plus Firefox Quantum portable (more secure).

The weird characters on copied HTML text is a known unresolved issue. Meanwhile, the list of missing features in Edge and other browsers but which Firefox legacy ESR (prior to ver. 59.02 ) enabled include:

Multiple tab rows (not in any current browsers though possible in Quantum only with hacks)

Change tab width and other options the TabMixPlux extension enabled.

Colorful Tabs

Toggling Ctrl+Tab switch btwn most recently opened tabs (not in Chrome, Edge, and some others)

Session Manager with options comparable to Firefox legacy.

Stay-open bookmarks

Find bar tweak (retain find bar for all tabs)

Menu editor
