I really don't care if a bad product continues to thrive as long as it is not dangerous.

Justin Bieber, MVMT watches, Burger King, etc. continue to thrive despite their mediocrity. I don't listen to Bieber, buy MVMT watches, or eat at Burger King and the FDA had nothing to do with that decision.

If we had an FDA that could notify use that Justin Beaver is really not worth the effort then a lot more people could avoid his, and the others you mentioned, mediocre crap.

The FDA is just operating under the wrong set of guidelines. Instead of mandating a particular narrowly defined standards, it could just give a seal of approval that a certain product meets standards and with a grading scale. That way if want to buy a particular crappy product
then I am able to do so without big brother preventing me.
