I have elderly parents in New York who rarely get to see their grandson. I'm totally OK with getting tested before travel, to make sure we don't bring COVID home. But I don't get New York's travel restrictions... we have to quarrantine for 4 days after arrival? Well, there goes Christmas. I've tried to get more information about this from the state, but I get the sense they WANT everyone to feel defeated and stay home. And how do I demonstrate I've complied? Can they really do anything to me if I can't demonstrate I've quarrantined for 4 days AFTER arriving in New York? (Of course, the whole thing is stupid because New York has a sky-high rate... it's my HOME state which should be afraid of me traveling THERE, but since my parents are elderly, I am more concerned about them.
I take the cell in a Faraday bag when I’m driving the beater. I’d only use it in the event of an emergency. If I’m in a situation that warrants my using my cell, Deep State is the least of my worries.
But I’m old enough to remember rotary dial telephones.
A cell phone is a convenience to me.
Not a necessity.
I’m sorry, better luck next time! Maybe use your elbow instead? Or grab a good old fashioned tissue or hanky and sneeze into that. Toss if disposable, and wash if not.
Exactly. Why people want us to stop living is beyond me. They say they don’t want that, that they’re trying to protect us, but I feel threatened by the restrictions instead.
I still have a rotary phone! Ok, it’s on display, but it can be used in an emergency. Good old landlines!
