There is no connotation of untruthfulness in condescension. There is instead an assumed air of superiority, such as to believe that in sharing of one’s greater wisdom one is imparting a gift upon another.

You miss the mark is well in presuming that I am “trying to turn” Trump’s supporters away from him. I am instead sharing what I believe to be the truth.

Not to pick nits, but the two are not mutually exclusive.

Your version of the truth could also serve to 'turn Trump's supporters away from him'.

Happens all the time.

Point number two. The only 'truth' about an opinion is that it is an opinion. If it were truth, it would be a fact.

Okay, now you two carry on.

We are American patriots with American ideals—like taking care of ourselves.

This is the essence of individual sovereignty.

Demanding the government take care of us is what communists do.

Learn this principle.

This is not the superiority of a person. It’s the superiority of an idea.

Self reliance over government dependence.

No condescension.

And stop pushing communist ideas!
