“Cases” to me means someone with sufficient symptoms to be in the hospital where it gets reported. Check your state to see how many hospitals beds are normally available, then check how many COVID deaths there were in the last 6 months or so. You’ll immediately see impossible stats.
In Colorado cases went up fast and hard, and the percentage of hospital beds occupied by CV19 patients went from 3% to 22%. Cases are now declining and CV19 patients occupy 17% of the beds.
Deaths are up a lot but starting to decline as would be expected. The peak in daily cases was 34 days ago.
