This is another Pandora’s box that I feel should not be opened over politics. It’s a precedent that should not be set. If democrats get full control of the legislative and executive branches of this government, what is to stop them from pushing impeachment on all of the conservative justices, basically to get more political power and finish off their trifecta of power over the judicial branch as well?
The bar needs to be set very high, and should probably be related on corruption of actual court conduct. Example, taking bribes.
It is set high. You need the House to impeach, the Senate to try and 2/3 Senate majority vote to remove the justice. That is not easy to do as we have recently seen.
