A man suspected in 23 misdemeanor sexual battery cases in the West Los Angeles area has been arrested, police said Wednesday.

The man, described as a “sexual predator” by police, is believed to have victimized women since Oct. 23 around UCLA and Westwood Plaza. Authorities began their investigation on Nov. 18, Los Angeles Police Department officials said in a news release.

The assailant was usually dressed in a hoodie and a “surgical type mask that concealed his face,” which made it difficult to identify him, officials said.

With the help of the UCLA Police Department, detectives eventually identified a possible suspect and began surveilling the 32-year-old Los Angeles man.

It says he’s a groper.
It then says if you know anything to call the Robbery/Homicide Division.
Am I missing something?

Held on $575,000 bail. For the moment.

As of Tuesday, many misdemeanor cases will be declined or dismissed prior to arraignment unless "factors for considerations" exist. The list of offenses includes trespassing, disturbing the peace, a minor in possession of alcohol, driving without a license, driving with a suspended license, making criminal threats, drug and paraphernalia possession, being under the influence of a controlled substance, public intoxication, loitering to commit prostitution and resisting arrest.

LA's new DA attempting to boost tourism to the city. But I bet he comes down hard on "mask offenders".

I should not even ask. We almost got a Soros funded district Attorney here in Maricopa county. From her election promises, she was not too far from Cascon.
It was close, it was scary. But I still cannot understand that anybody would vote for them. Except maybe criminals, and I hope they are not majority?!
Soros is on his DA crusade for a while, I would imagine, that most people would get the message by now!

Being a crosstown USC alumnus and a devoted Christian, son, husband and father of daughters, I hereby refrain (on this occasion only) from all hilariously snarky comments about the “attractiveness” of UCLA women and questioning the perpetrator’s eyesight and instead offer my sincere condolences to the victims and hearty congratulations to the campus police.

Although sorely tempted by your clarification, I shall venture no further comment.

I think there are many people out there who really dislike cops...Those people vote as well...They voted for Mr. Gascon to serve as the LA County DA...

I do not deny that cops are very unpopular with some voters...I am sure that many, NOT ALL, people who live in ghetto dislike cops...

I also do not deny that many people do NOT want to put people in jail for punishment...

I live in Los Angeles County...It is a very liberal place just like San Francisco City/County...

Mr. Gascon won the election because many people liked his liberal ideas...There was no voter fraud helping him...

I would like to believe that somebody like Mr. Gascon cannot possibly win an election...But, that is a wishful thinking...
