The claim you're making here is as untrue as the claim made by the tinfoil hat wearing authors of this "article". The PCR test specifically tests for the presence of gene sequences found nowhere else on Earth except in SARS-CoV-2. They're literally the gene sequences that distinguish it from SARS-CoV-1 (SARS2003) which is the closest relative of SARS-CoV-2.

That's hardly "pretty constant". There's a massive departure from the previous 5 years which begins in March and continues throughout the rest of the year. There's a very clear distinction that happens as the pandemic begins to hit the US. You really can't miss it.

Where our focus should be is on how to prevent the deaths we can without tanking the economy, and why state and local officials failed so spectacularly in their jobs. For example: Governor Cuomo in New York and Governor Newsom in California (among others) held to a policy forcing nursing homes to accept known-infected COVID-19 patients. That policy alone cost tens of thousands (at least) of unnecessary deaths. They should be under indictment for tens of thousands of cases of criminally negligent homicide, just for that policy by itself. And there's a lot more there if we stop pretending nobody's dying and start looking at WHY they're dying when they don't have to.
