As much as I get why some may advocate splitting the Republican party and forming a new “MAGA” or other party, it’s also not a good idea.

If EITHER party - R or D divides into two or more groups, those groups essentially will never win an election - the math simply doesn’t work.

Face it - we have TWO parties today, split roughly 50/50. If you divide one of those two into two smaller groups, that gives you 25/25/50 - or whatever split on the first two numbers you want.

And regardless of how you do the split, the numbers still far less than the other (D) side has.

The better approach, IMHO, is to clean house from within. We should all work to determine how that can best be achieved.

Reforming the Republican Party is the answer, not throwing a temper tantrum and chasing 3rd party delusions.

If we split, then make the Dems split too. They have two sides. Then MAGA would win.
