an example of a faustian bargain. there was a time in this country when faustian bargains were deemed undesirable, but apparently they are now in fashion(?)
collectively there seems to be little respect given to constitutional principles among millenial age citizens, who seem more interested in virtue signaling if not joining the antifa. today’s US citizens seem to be conditioned to regarding equitable outcomes and utilitarianism as desirable principles of government, over individual rights.
a two party system is probably very far down the line of desirable goals for the current and next generations.
