Yes there is a 100 proof Old Forrester that I hear is not bad. We discovered a great rye from 13th colony which is a boutique distiller out of Plains, GA. Good stuff. We also love the 13th colony Southern Vodka for martinis. And I’m a long time fan girl for Bushmills Black. At my Dad’s wake we handed out shot glasses and gathered round the casket to toast a fine Irish gentleman with it.

Years ago when I vacationed in Ireland I got the chance to go on a distillery tour at Old Midleton. At the end I got a tasting of all of their brands: Tullamore Dew, Powers, Bushmills, and Old Midleton. They have all become favorites of mine.

Bushmills has a smokiness that most Irish whisky's don't have. If I remember right the smokiness comes from anthracite used in its production.
