Actually the 5.0 is a Coyote engine that is a complete redesign with aluminum block and overhead cams. It makes so much power it’s been banned by everyone that does HP shootouts. It puts LS motors to shame.

Drove a 2018 GT a couple weeks ago, it goes, no doubt. Of the 40+ cars I have had over the last 50 years, the most reliable and most fun was a 2006 stang gt, only issue I had was changing plugs in that 4.6 v8 but solved that with the right tools. Have gone from Falcons to Vegas to Pintos to VWs to MGs and worked my way up the food chain to my current Lexuses and Vette.
I doubt I will ever have an EV, I don't care how quick they are, if it doesn't have that rumble of a v8, count me out.

I have a 2017 Mustang now too but I got the last V6. The V6 was the only engine in the lineup that runs on regular gas. The Ecoboost and GT only run on Premium fuel which costs so much more. I get 30 miles to the gallon with 300 horse power.
