McConnell sat on multiple election security bills and would not allow a DEBATE, much less a vote.
We need uniform, Federalized election security measures. We need a central database to make sure nobody votes in two states, and aliens, dead people, and fictional people don’t vote. We also need to make sure felons don’t vote where not allowed.
And we need uniform election security hardware and software that pass muster at national security levels. With all due respect to state’s rights, preventing election fraud is a national security issue, and too important to be left to individual precincts.
We got none of this, because PDJT was too bold, too honest, slaughtered too many sacred cows, ruffled too many feathers, could not be bribed, could not be blackmailed. So McConnell greased the wheels for states to do what they had to do to bring things back to business as usual.
