On 20 December the Christmas Star appear the first time since 800+ years. Many believe that this was the Star that appear at our savior’s birth. Don’t forget to try to see it!

A couple of bright planets will be close enough to appear as one star
Well yes we all know that, happy now.
They wouldn’t have known that back then. I don’t think planets were known and understood at that time. It is just one of the theoretical possibilities of the day.
I personally don’t think it was even a star, because this alignment will only last a couple of days and wouldn’t have lasted long enough for three Persian gentleman to make the trip to Bethlehem.

Yeah.
And many of us don't...
Many would like to turn the miraculous event of the birth of our Lord into a natural phenomena...I'm not one of them...
