How about Blazing Saddles?
I am around a bunch of 25 or so year olds who can quote that movie, and Blues Brothers ver batum.
Fun.
I don’t know if “Blazing Saddles” is on the registry or not, but in today’s atmosphere of Political Correctness, this film may be “too anti-PC” to be chosen.
After all, it stars a Jewish guy (Wilder) as a gunman; a black man (Clevon Little) as a good sheriff; a bunch of anti-black cowboys; discriminated against but very funny black railroad workers; anti-black townspeople who later become pro-black townspeople; Alex Karras as a slow-witted humongous cowboy philosopher (Mongo only a pawn in the game of life); Mel Brooks as a crooked governor; Harvey Korman as a horny politician; a hangman who likes to hang horses; a “Motley Crew” of criminals, killers, soldiers, who enjoy their work; and a Jewish actress, Madeline Kahn, singing old German songs and serving “snitzel” by the ton to a black man, will all the sexual innuendoes that could be stuffed in that one dinner scene.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?
