My husband and I were at the Blue Mountains in Australia. We saw an entire Japanese family with small children climb over a low barrier and stand right at the edge in gusting winds to get their family selfie without overhanging trees getting in the way.

My husband and I were so disturbed by their actions that we had to leave. I don't guess any of them fell to their deaths because there was nothing mentioned about it on the news that night or the next day.

I can't help but remember a quote from John Boy and Billy's morning radio show when they were discussing how those heat shields that you put over your windshield to keep out the sun from your car have the warning "Remove before Driving." John Boy commented that there should not be warnings of any kind because "When stupid people do stupid things, that's nature's way of getting rid of stupid people."

Rarely have I ever listened to JB & Billy.

Married Man was the only skit of theirs I liked.

“there was nothing mentioned about it on the news”.
Maybe it is not in the news because it is an every day occurrence.

My understanding is that those warnings help protect manufacturers from a$$holes trying to sue them for NOT warning them ...... from being a$$holes!
