Officers arrested a man and seized thousands of pounds of fireworks along with illegal firearms in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood of South Los Angeles, police said Saturday.

Detectives on Friday detained Erik Ramos, a 30-year-old L.A. resident, after a traffic stop near the 1200 block of E. 91st Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department

On the same day, drug investigations and vice detectives with the agency served a search warrant in the area and seized illegal firearms and more than 5,000 pounds of fireworks, Long Beach police spokesperson Allison Gallagher said.

I have a hunch that the People in Red China can’t buy stuff like this for their personal use.

"Long range?"

They would have to find someone that knew shooting beyond kicking up dirt in front of them.

A scope does not make you a Carlos hathcock.

No, but it is also unwise to underestimate the enemy.

If he says he got the fireworks to celebrate Biden victory they will let him go.

“Not too many gangbangers use scopes..”

coyotes do.

I’m always suspicious of a seaside 30yo that has more guns than grandpa does. I mean, they could be for use against sharks and such...As we’ve seen over the summer, fireworks have been used as a diversionary tactic and a weapon. Calif only allows ‘safe and sane’ fireworks and then only under license and only for a limited time for sale and not stored in residential neighborhoods. ‘Super Cans” and “Nightmares’ don’t sound very safe or sane. He’ll probably have worse charges on the fireworks than on the guns.
