My attorney, buddy of mine is a JAG. When they made the changes, I read them and was trying to make sense of them. He laughed and told me I could prosecute, but I would be poor @ defense/ Defense is where you need the most process knowledge.

As in all legal proceedings, the rights of the defendant are protected. No different in MCM. This revisions removed some of the process that defense attorneys had used in order to streamline the process. My friend was pissed because those processes had been favorable to him in the past. A typical 'rights of the defendant' vs 'rights of society, victim, justices' etc.
