This holiday season you may want to diversify your normal beer consumption and try out a seasonal holiday brew.
But there can be so many beers to choose from, you may not know where to start. To make your decision easier, I decided to put five widely available holiday beers to the test.
I sampled Samuel Adams' Winter Lager, the Shiner Holiday Cheer Bavarian-style dark wheat from Spoetzl Brewery, Sierra Nevada's Celebration Fresh Hop IPA, Harpoon's Winter Warmer Holiday Ale, and New Belgium Brewing's Accumulation White IPA.
Here are the five holiday beers I tried, ranked from my least favorite to my favorite.

I’ve had the Sierra Nevada and the Shiner Cheer so far this year.
And also the Anchor Steam annual.
The IPA thing is a conspiracy to further feminize men. Hops contain a lot of phytoestrogens, so more hops = more estrogen.
So go easy on the hoppy beers, unless you want to become a mansiere model.
been a lot of singing about beer over the years...♫♪
I scanned the beer selection at a local store yesterday, and this is what I saw: IPA, IPA, IPA, IPA, lager, seltzer, seltzer, cider, cider, cider, cider, cider, cider, cider, cider, cider, cider, cider, non-alc
I that why gay guys hop and skip???
I’ve seen 2 offerings from Melvin in my community but not that one. Haven’t tried any
Yuengling has bottled it’s Hershey Porter for the first year. It has a Holiday chocolate flavor. Don’t know if you can get it outside of PA. It used to come out at this time of year ONLY on Draft. How come no one has mentioned Old Frothingslosh?
Dont let the cider fool ya thats where fight get started, drinkin the dang skrumpy...
Second the Celebration Ale, very good mix in there, and yes, I think the hops are sharper this year than in previous years, but Sierra Nevada has nothing to be ashamed about on that brew.
I have had Yuengling’s black and tan, it has some of those qualities.

You should try Shiner Black or Paulaner Salvatore
You should try Shiner Black or Paulaner Salvatore with a cigar, by the fire, with the dog lying at your feet....
Looks interesting
Thanks for doing the hard work others just won’t do...
Hey, someone needs to lift a smile.
I wasn't aware they did that, but sure.
J&B and if you are desperate Canadian Mist.
So far the Beer connoisseurs are unimpressed with the top two finishers on this guy’s list. The only garnered 82 and 84 points on Beer Advocate. Have said that I have on a number of occasions tried the Sierra Nevada Holiday offering and typically find it to be good but not excellent.
